There are a few berries that jelly and preserves are made from that grow on trees, not on vines or bushes.

What fruits and veges grow best this time of year and in this (hot, hot, hot) climate?

It also has large oblong leaves, and is about 3 to 5 feet tall. I am wondering what this plant is, and if the berries are edible. It appears that something, possibly birds are eating these berries. Any thoughts??

I live in the Sunset district, so it’s cloudy a lot of the time. Need something that doesn’t need a ton of sun. Can I plant tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, etc.?

Okay I’m doing a sort of project on porcupines. They’re born in the spring and it says berries are a part of their diet. I was wondering, what berries, if any, grow in North America in the Spring time?

I have tasted one and they are very sweet but I am worried they are poisonous. So far I”m feeling fine.
