Garden Pots

hi i wanted to start growing my own fruit and veg but ave limited space and knowledge as i am a beginner. my back garden is all paved out so has to be done in pots. can any one give me advice on what size pots things need and good growing tips on how to get good veg. i am a beginner at gardening so any ones growing tips would be brill thanks x

I’m a useless gardener. I have a few “tree looking” plants in pots that I never water and they’re fine.

Put approx 6″ compost in largest pot you have. Put in chitted seed potatoes (leave potatoes in cool light place until “eyes” sprout / e.g. chitted) cover pots with compost. I have spent quite a bit of time and money getting my garden ready for the summer, however local cats etc seem to have taken to digging up my plants.

Isn’t it annoying? I usually will try a light tap all around the rim first, and if this doesn’t work, I lay the stack of pots on its side and roll them back and forth a few times. Normally, the natural imperfections in the rim will unstick the stack.
